FEES AND PAYMENTS For more information on our Fees and payment methods, please contact our administrative staff.
Cost of Psychological Services The cost of psychological services depends on the nature of the service, and will be discussed with you before commencing. However, it is important to note that our fees are consistent with the guidelines as set out by the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta (PAA) Recommended Fee Schedule. Most individuals who seek psychological services are pleased to discover they have coverage for psychological services through their insurance companies and insurance plans. Extended health benefits through employment and union, or health plans for specific groups such as First Nations, law enforcement, veterans, and military personnel will cover some or all of the cost of psychologial services. Government and social programs such as Children’s Services may also cover psychological services. However, it is important to note that pychological services are not covered by the provincial health insurance. When costs of psychological services are not covered by a third party, they are claimable as a tax deduction.

The NIHB Program’s benefits provide eligible individuals with coverage for mental health counselling to address short-term crisis situations, while the IRS RHSP benefits provide former students of residential schools and their families with the same type of support. The MMIWG benifits provide eligible individuals with therapy and counselling to heal from impacts of murdered and missing Indigenous women and girls. We accept payment by debit, VISA, Mastercard, American Express, cash, cheques, and electronic transfers. Direct Billing We are currently able to direct bill certain Health Benefit providers for psychological services. For more information regarding the eligibility, please contact us. Cancellation Policy We understand that unforeseen events can occur. However, since your appointment requires your psychologist to reserve a significant amount of time exclusively for your benefit, we have a policy regarding cancellations and missed appointments that we consider fair to you, your psychologist, and other clients who need appointments. Therefore, if your appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance or is missed, we will charge the regular fee for the appointment. Please note that charges for late cancelled and missed appointments often can not be submitted for health insurance reimbursement.
