Claudia Vasquez is a Registered Provisional Psychologist in the Province of Alberta. She earned her Master of Counselling degree from the City University of Seattle in 2022. With a commitment to her profession, Claudia has been providing psychological services since 2023, and continues to expand her expertise through her practice and professional development in both clinical/counselling and forensic areas of Psychology. She offers therapeutic services to adolescents, adults, children, and families, using evidence-based methods to help her clients reach their personal and psychological goals. In addition to her therapeutic work, Claudia is building her specialization in clinical and forensic psychological assessments, particularly in supporting trauma-impacted individuals. In her therapeutic practice, Claudia adopts a trauma- informed approach, understanding that trauma is a complex and universal human experience. She believes that trauma manifests in various forms and can deeply affect one’s mental health, leading to issues such as mood disorders, anxiety, and relational challenges. Recognizing the impact trauma has on her clients, Claudia utilizes a personalized, integrative therapeutic approach. This includes elements from various evidence-based therapies such as CBT and EMDR, as well as Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Play Therapy, IFS, and psychodynamic therapy, with strong focus on supportive therapy, tailored to the specific needs and values of each client. Her aim is to foster healing through a collaborative, non-judgmental, and supportive therapeutic relationship. Claudia is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to provide culturally sensitive services, particularly for clients from Latin and Hispanic backgrounds. She offers her services in-person in Edmonton and virtually in surrounding areas, ensuring accessibility and support for a wide range of clients.
