Stan Mlynczak-Bochenski, MD, MSc, RPsych

Stan is a Registered Psychologist in the Province of Alberta. He is currently seeing clients at our Edmonton office. Stan graduated from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in 1971 and practiced internal medicine for a number of years. After moving to Alberta, Canada, he completed a Master's in Psychiatry at the University of Alberta, Edmonton. In 1998, at the Univesity of Alaska, Anchorage, he completed a Master's in Clinical Psychology and has remained in the field of mental health care ever since. Stan appreciates and respects Indigenous spiritual and healing practices. A long-standing horseman, Stan engaged himself in training in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy in the 1990s in order to incorporate its principals into his practice. He has continued educational training including learning different modalities of therapy such as EMDR, hypnosis, CBT, DBT. Stan is here to work with you through life’s most difficult times. He can help you identify the underlying wounds that result in life’s problems. Using a healing perspective he can assist children, adults, couples, and families from many different cultures and backgrounds. He is often referred to as "Dr. Stan" within the Native communities he works with.

